I was lucky enough to see them at Sketchfest in San Francisco that year. Turned out they were staying in my hotel; so many awkward run-ins. Then we got to see them perform live, which they closed with an amazing rendition of Porcupine Racetrack. Then a screening and Q&A of Wet Hot American Summer, then a retrospective of The State, then I met Ken Marino, who has been my personal hero since I was 13 (1993). Then a live performance by Stella, which included openers Tig Notaro, Seth Herzog, Nick Kroll, and Janeane Garofalo. After the show I got to meet and get a picture with Tom Lennon and Joe LoTruglio, during which Tom Lennon caressed my penis. It was two of the greatest days of my life, you guys. Comedy dreams do come true.
